My name is Hannah Schweizer, and I am currently playing on a club team called Blue Steele out of O'Fallon, IL. I have played a total of three club seasons (all on different teams), four years of high school (starting varsity each year), along with five years of summer sand volleyball. Throughout the years, I have been most dominant in any hitting position, whether it be OH, OPP, MB, or back row attacking. However, I am also very good at serve receive and love to play through all 6 rotations. This fall season I was noted for the energy I provided for the team, and my aggressiveness no matter where I am playing. You can see my team and individual awards on Facebook or by viewing my profile. I think it is important to have ball control along with enthusiasm when playing, and am very excited to begin my college career of ball. I am undecided on what I plan on majoring in, but Interior Design and Pre-Vet both have my attention. Besides volleyball, I am also involved in volunteering for the local food pantry, Special Olympics, the Down Syndrome Association of St. Louis, and Relay for Life. In school, I am a member of National Honors Society, the High Honor Roll, Swing Choir, and Spanish III. My coaches have made it a point that I am still growing as a player and have not yet reached my full potential, which excites me for the future. I think my determination, hard work, energy, and talent will be an asset to whichever team I play on in college.
