I started playing volleyball when I was eleven years old for my school team. I immediately fell in love with the sport and began playing club when I was twelve. Volleyball has helped me grow not only as an athlete, but as a person. Being loud on the court has given me confidence that I wouldn’t have today if I didn’t play volleyball. One of my favorite things about playing is the bonds formed between players on a team. The sense of community on the teams I currently play on is so important to me, my teammates are like family to me and I would like to play for a program that values that community. I am a very dedicated teammate and will do anything to help the team, whether I am on the court or not. If I am not on the court helping the team with my play, I am cheering at the top of my lungs on the sideline to support my teammates.
I set very high expectations for myself when it comes to academics. I am currently taking all honors and AP classes and intend to continue to do so for the rest of my high school career. I want to go into family law, so ideally I would attend a school with a legal studies major or minor, or a strong English program. This is important to me because a strong academic program for undergrad will help set me up for law school.
