Payton Hart '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade, but started playing competitively at club after my 7th grade season.  When I was young I thrived on playing, even if it was just in the back yard.  Even at a young age I have always dreamed of playing in college, and now that its time to determine the right collegiate fit for me, its never been more exciting.  

I enjoy playing both front and back row.  My junior year in H.S. I led our team in kills, digs, serve receive and aces.  I am a very consistent hitter from anywhere on the court, and I also have a very nice top spin jump serve.  I believe the serve helps my consistency while hitting out of the back row.  I enjoy hitting out of the back row as much as out of the front.  I am a hard worker and lead by example.  During crunch time, I thrive on getting the ball.  I feel a real sense of enjoyment, coming through in the clutch with big plays and leading my team to victory.  I have been told that I am a very hard worker and that I am very coachable.  I enjoy strategies and seeing how they work, and making adjustments if they don't.  I try to absorb everything my coaches say, because I know it will help make me a better player and it will also help the team be successful too.

I work hard in the classroom and maintain a good GPA.  I have also helped run some of the volleyball camps that my club has had for our younger players.  I am a member of our Student Council in H.S. and as a freshman, I was nominated and voted into our Athletic Leadership Council. 

I am very eager to find the right collegiate fit for me, both academically and athletically, and excited to see where the journey takes me.
