Upon graduating from high school I plan to attend college to study something in the medical field; I am leaning towards physical therapy and would love to continue my volleyball career while doing this. Academics are very important to me, as I continually strive to achieve top grades. I am also very active in other organizations. I am part of the Business Professionals of of America organization which I compete as part of the Parliamentary Procedures Team. Our team took first at the state and national level. This team requires many hours of study to be able to compete at this level. I am also the executive board vice president as part of student council. I am part of National Honors Society, Healthy Youth Coalition and Real Girls Club. I participate year round in sports, playing volleyball, basketball, and track. Besides the volleyball success our team has obtained, our basketball team was part of the final four in Michigan Class D. During track, I became the regional discus and shot put champion. I also work a couple days a week, as well as attend church where I volunteer in the nursery and sound system once a month. I have learned through all of these experiences how to set priorities and accomplish my goals. I have been able to actively participate in all these areas while maintaining a 4.0 GPA this past year.
During the summer, I train by attending open gyms, weightlifting, and doing workouts. I attend volleyball camps that I feel will be beneficial to me. I also volunteer as a counselor at a bible camp for a couple of weeks. This summer I plan to tour colleges and narrow my search as to where I plan to attend after high school.
