Hi! My name is Amelia McCombs and I have been playing volleyball for about four+ years. I learn and train hard in order to do my very best at volleyball practice and games each week. I currently play on the Lakeland High School Varsity Volleyball Team and will playing for Team Detroit Volleyball Club in West Bloomfield, Michigan on the 17-White team. I strive to be a positive and confident player during practices and games. Teammates say I have a way about me that uplifts spirits and motivations of the team. I have been a setter for four years and feel very proud and secure with this position. In the 2019/2020 club season, I switched positions to Defensive Specialist/Libero and enjoy learning the game from another aspect and viewpoint. I continue playing the Defensive Specialist/Libero position today. Volleyball is a huge part of my life and I love the sport. I have tried different sports activities throughout my life and volleyball is the one that inspires me the most. Throughout the last couple of years, volleyball has helped me personally become more confident and has helped me learn how to overcome every obstacle faced, while on the court. I rarely miss a day of practice and I am very committed to my team. I look forward to my future and being a part of other teams that I will play on in the future. I take both volleyball and school seriously. I am extremely dedicated at getting and keeping good grades. Going to collage has always been in my future plans and now I am hoping to play volleyball when I attend as well. I am serious about continuing to learn and grow throughout this process. I am dedicated and super excited about starting this journey with NCSA. Thank you.
