I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and have you view my you-tube video showing some of my volleyball skills. Here is the link to my video. http://youtu.be/bPNWjl5_3kk
I am interested in talking more with you about the opportunity of playing volleyball for your program. Over the course of the next several months, I will be visiting some of the schools I am interested in attending. I would love to hear more about your program. My video will give you my tournament schedule. Please, come watch me play! Feel free to contact me by email, phone or text! Thank you in advance for taking the time to watch my video and read through my letter. I look forward to meeting you in the future.
I am a junior at Central High school in NYA, MN. I have been playing the game of volleyball since the 4th grade. It is my passion! In the ninth grade I was captain of my school team. I enjoy rallying my teammates and encouraging them to stay positive. This year I was starting right side for my high school team. In addition, I have played middle. I work hard both on and off the court! I have played year round volleyball since the 8th grade by playing in JO through NCR and a summer program through our school. In addition to playing, I enjoy helping coach the younger girls ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade during camps that help raise money for our program.
During the off-season, I try to continue maintaining my athletic skills by playing on the JV basketball team (I did not play this year because I made the Club 43 Volleyball team), and have run Varsity track since the 8th grade. I am mainly a sprinter in the 100, 200, 400 and relays. This year I tried out for Club 43 and made the team! I am starting right side and also can play middle. I am excited to play for a new team and will work hard with my teammates to make this a winning season!
Though sports have kept me busy, my main focus is my grades! I have a cumulative 3.85 GPA. I am scheduled to take my ACT this spring. This summer I went with my Spanish class to Spain to learn more about the culture. I was a student counsel member, National Honor Society member, tutor younger students, have lettered in choir, academics, student counsel, track and volleyball and teach Sunday school at my church. You get what you give is a saying my mother has always said to me! I do believe volunteering in your community is important. In addition, I am a part-time waitress and caterer for a local café
