My decision to start playing volleyball way back in grade school was probably the best one I’ve ever made. Eight years later, and I still have the passion to keep me in the game. Although anxious to start club ball, I tried out and made the team (15s, 2016), which gave me the confidence to keep me going.
Being in a small school, that doesn’t have a very competitive team, really drove me to pursue club volleyball. I wanted more of a challenge. That desire has now led me to want to play in college.
My journey toward that point has stumbled upon a little setback. This past season (17s, 2019), I tore my ACL and had to have it reconstructed. This has tested my true love for the sport, but I know that I need to fight through my recovery to get back to my home on the court. Watching my team finish the season, without me, proved to me that every player is extremely valuable to the team. My passion for volleyball has only grown through this trial, and I am ready to play again.
