Katie O'Brien '19 Recruiting Profile

I started passing a volleyball with my mom in my driveway at age 7; it was love at first touch!  I enjoy the competitiveness and camaraderie that comes with being part of a team. 

Although I primarily play outside hitter I am versatile and can play any position.  As a freshman I made varsity as the starting setter. I continued setting for the beginning of sophomore year, but switched to outside/rightside hitter.  Last year I was one of two sophomores to be voted second team all state by the new hampshire volleyball coaches association.   As a junior I was voted captain of my varsity team and pride myself on being a supportive and hardworking teammate. 

My goal is to attend a college that provides quality educational opportunities as well as the opportunity to continue playing volleyball.  I can't imagine four years of college without the sport I love!
