Marissa Ixtlahuac '18 Recruiting Profile

My ultimate goal after graduation is to go to an excellent college and get my major in pre-vet medicine and later become a successful veterinarian. I believe I can use my leadership skills I have developed throughout my life to lead the team to success as well as motivate them to accomplish things that better themselves and the team. Working hard is also a big part in my daily life as well as my work ethic, I do believe "perfect practice makes perfect". I strive for excellence by challenging myself so that I can benefit my team to the best of my abilities because I strongly understand that volleyball is one hundred percent teamwork.  The difference between me and other recruits is I constantly try to keep a positive yet competitive attitude in the classroom as well as the court, I also strive to improve my character skills and physical skills so that i can excel at the mental and physical challenges that are thrown in my path.
