I started playing volleyball in 7th grade at the modified level. I could not wait to do so because I literally grew up in the bleachers watching my two older sisters play volleyball. The game always looked so fun and easy until it was my turn to play and I started to realize that it was much harder then it looked. I had already fell in love with volleyball. Therefore I knew that I was going to have to put the work in if I wanted it to play on the collegiate level. This sport has taught me the importance of hard work, determination and gave me confidence which I struggled with. That’s why I pride myself on being extremely coachable. I enjoy working hard on my volleyball skills in season and off season whether that is in my private lessons, clinics, clubs or camps.Although I play basketball and softball, volleyball is the sport i’m most passionate about.I can be an asset to any team because I am always willing to learn something new and I have played and can play any position I am asked to play. I am always willing to positively encourage my teammates. One of my biggest accomplishments thus far in volleyball was being moved up to varsity early to help with sectionals. It made me realize how much the hard work Im putting in is paying off. I am excited about playing volleyball in college in the near future.
