Grace Hegland '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Grace Hegland, and I am a middle blocker and volleyball enthusiast.  I always prioritize practice and work my hardest every day because you never know when it might be your last chance to play volleyball. I've been told that I am very coachable and a good listener.  I do my best to put the team before myself.  I'm also an intense competitor, who never gives up on a game. I hope to play in college, so I can continue to improve, compete, and make new friendships.  My current strength in volleyball is hitting power, and I am working to further develop use of my wrist when swinging and blocking timing. I just started my junior year of high school, and I have done a good job of balancing volleyball with high school academics, volunteer service, and leadership positions.  I think volleyball and school are similar because in order to succeed you must be able to push yourself to go beyond your limits by setting goals. I hope you will consider me for your team; I promise to always give 100% effort, so I can continue to improve.
