My love for volleyball started in the seventh grade. Since then, I have been able to develop my skills. Volleyball started as a hobby and truly became my passion. I remain motivated to challenge myself to be a better teammate and volleyball player each and every time I step on the court. Playing volleyball has allowed me to be a part of something bigger than myself. This sport has been more than a sport but has been a major part of making me who I am. It has taught me to listen attentively, has helped me to grow as a person and a player, and to dig deeper when challenged.
My first year of volleyball in high school I played junior varsity, swinging varsity as a freshman. Since then, I have attended EXACT volleyball training, Pat Power’s Elite Volleyball Course, and the University of Cincinnati’s volleyball camp. These experiences have pushed me a lot harder and have helped me tremendously along my aspirational journey of playing at the collegiate level. Although volleyball is a major priority, schoolwork always comes first. I work very hard to exceed both academically and athletically as an athlete. In college I want to major in psychology and minor is philosophy. I believe that my heavy workload in high school helps prepare me for the challenges of being a student athlete at the collegiate level.
