Emily McCurry '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I’m Emily.  I’m a Sophomore at Norman North High School and I play for Oklahoma Charge in Oklahoma City. For both my school and my club team, I’m known as a leader, an encourager, and a delightful teammate.  I’m hard working, determined, and tactically aware.

            Currently,  I feel Biomedical Engineering, Biology (Dermatology) or Clinical Psychology are the most likely majors.  I’m looking for both a university and volleyball team that is perfect for me.  I want a university and team that can make me feel like family.  I want to give the university and team an academically strong student as well as a gritty Defensive Specialist/Libero.

            I take my academic career seriously. I have maintained straight A's for the last 6 years and this year I continued to challenge myself with Forensics and Algebra 2.  I enjoy the process of learning and being rewarded for my efforts.  As I alluded to before, I’m looking for competitive collegiate volleyball program, and a university where I can succeed as a student.

            I look forward to continuing this journey fhrough high school and beyond.  I’m continuing to grow as a teammate, an athlete and leader.
