My name is Emma Judy and I am a 6'1" freshman at Conestoga Valley High School in Lancaster, PA (yes, I have tall parents!) I am interested in playing volleyball while earning my college degree. I started playing volleyball when I was in 7th grade when my best friend and I decided to try out for the middle school team. I have played volleyball for 3 years now (middle school, club, and high school). I love being part of a team/ sports family. I am the biggest cheerleader for my teammates when I am on and off the court. I remind myself and my team to not be afraid of making a mistake. Make mistakes and LEARN from them. That is how we improve and get better. I enjoy playing with a team that supports each other in a positive and respectful way. The team is only as strong as the weakest player so to have a successful team, all players need to work together and mentor each other to be their best and perform their best. My goal is to be a diverse volleyball player so I can help my team play their best and be an asset to my team.
I love playing volleyball and I love science and history. The opportunity to play the sport I love while furthering my education and working towards my career goal is a blessing. I look forward to learning more, doing more, and playing more volleyball. After college, I hope to continue to play and mentor younger athletes through coaching.
