Howdy! My name is Chloe Waller. I am mainly a setter, but I also play OH and defensive specialist. I am a very flexible player who will play any position you want me to! I am 5'6" and from Frisco, Texas. I may be small for college volleyball, but I can jump! Currently, I have around a 25 inch vertical, and I am working hard to get it up! I am always working and trying to improve on my skills on and off the court.
I've been playing volleyball for seven years, five those at club level. Volleyball is my passion. I strive to play it as much as I can because there is nothing better than having a volleyball in your hands. Volleyball has taught me many valuable lessons about efficiency, hard work, teamwork, and perseverance. It also gives me a place where I can let loose and have fun! I love volleyball so much that I plan to pursue volleyball at a collegiate level when I graduate high school.
For the past four years, starting in seventh grade, I've been a starter on Leadership Prep's school varsity volleyball team. Currently, I am the main setter, but I've played OH/RS hitter and defensive specialist over the years. In 2018, our team was a regional semi-finalist, and I was named to the TSCAAL All-Region team, All-Division team, and All-Academic team. I was also named Newcomer of the Year that year. In 2019, our team was a finalist in our region. Due to COVID, TSCAAL did not release all-region teams. but I would've for sure made it if they did! In 2020, our team was a semi-finalist in our region again. My team also made the USMC/AVCA Academic team and I made the 2020 and 2021 AVCA Phenom watchlist for upcoming and rising young athletes! Also, this year, I got the leadership award on my varsity team!
I have many accolades that prove that I am not only a versatile volleyball player but versatile in my interests. I play the clarinet in my high school band and made 10th chair in the All-Region band in 2019. I also made first chair in the concert band in 2020 for high school All-Region and qualified for All-Area. In 2018, I signed up for the Duke TIP program, took the ACT, and won a medal for scoring a 26 in the reading comprehension category. Currently, I am in NHS at my school, and in the past, I've also done Girl Scouts, NJHS, youth group at my church, and Lighthouse: a leadership program at my school. I also took the Teen Leadership course to help me be the best version of myself I can possibly be! I've also been on A-Honor roll since elementary school and I've been Student of the Nine Weeks/Student of the Year multiple times. In fact, at the end of the 2019-2020 school year, I got the Girl Leadership Award because my peers think highly of me!
I would be valuable to any collegiate volleyball program because I'm efficient, I am a leader on and off the court, and I am positive! Multiple coaches have told me that my grit, ability to work hard, and my ability to be coachable makes me a valuable player. I've also been told that I have a high volleyball IQ, and can analyze the situations on the court. When I get to college, I plan to help grow those skills by majoring Criminal Justice/Criminology/ and hopefully pursuing a career in law enforcement, specifically FBI. I hope you take the time to highly consider me for your program! Contact me for further information!
