Jamiya McNeil '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Jamiya McNeil, I am a 5’0  senior Libero, who works hard not only on the court but in the classroom to keep my GPA above a 3.6, and I am also a 2 year member of the National Honor Society.  I’ve been playing volleyball for about 7 years now. I have always had a love for volleyball, but it grew stronger once I reached the competitive level, so about 9th grade is when I got very serious about the game. I am very hard working, resilient, relentless, a hustler  and very coach-able. Being the captain of the team, you have to  keep a good spirit no matter if the game is going your way or not, you have to be there for your teammates not just on the court but mentally too because volleyball is 90% mental and 10% physical. So I tend to keep a good attitude for myself and my teammates because once you get in your head and get down it’s like a domino effect with your other teammates.
