Olivia Mason '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coaches, my name is Olivia Mason and I am a 6'0 Junior at Chincoteague High School, in Chincoteague, VA. My position is a MH/MB.  I have played different positions in JV and Varsity volleyball but enjoy being a middle hitter the most. I started playing volleyball when I was in seventh grade, but never got to play with a team until my Freshman year due to COVID. During my Sophomore year, my club coach recognized my ability to play at a higher level and recruited me to be on his team. He put me in as a middle hitter and I quickly learned how fast and agile you really have to be. I instantly fell in love with the intensity of the game and haven't looked back since. I always make sure to uplift my team and keep an optimistic attitude on and off the court. I am motivated and open-minded about learning new positions and skills to benefit me in the future.  My goal for the next two years of high school is to strive academically and become the best athlete possible. I have a strong work ethic and to be able to play volleyball at the collegiate level as well as earn my degree is an important goal.  Every day I try to become a better person mentally and physically to help prepare me for the future.
