Personal Statement
For the past 6 years, my life has been dedicated to volleyball. From the 5 AM morning tournaments to traveling around the country with my teammates to play more and more. Starting in the 5th grade, I found a joy for the sport and it hasn't left since. I remember being eleven years old and stepping foot on the court, it was a feeling I'd never had, it was a new pleasure that I was excited to explore. I felt a desire that was explainable, it was something that made me ready to see what I could get out of it. Now, I am a 17 year old and within those 6 years I have kept that same fire lit that made me excited for the sport back when I was a young girl. I am at the gym daily, getting extra workouts and working towards my goals which include playing competitively in college. I have a good work ethic in school as well as the same ethic on the court. I see myself as a strong leader to my teammates and peers and work everyday to make sure I'm seen as that strong role model, I also enjoy going to my club's practices for the younger teams and working with them to make them the best possible athlete they can be. I have the goal of becoming a nurse in the future and am working very hard to achieve those goals, I would like to be able to give back to the people who need help most when they are at their worst. Concluding, I work very hard when I see something that I want and will do anything to support the people who helped me along the way. Thank you.
