Personal Statement
“Work Hard, Pray Hard, Play Hard”
Hello, my name is Dustin Clark. I am a proud Pirate athlete at Pagosa Springs High School. I currently participate in the Football and the Wrestling programs. I enjoy fishing , hiking, hunting, riding dirt bikes, and missionary work.
I believe that the first part of every success story is working hard. I believe that this starts with our education. Education is a fundamental necessity. I strive to be just as good in the classroom as I do on the mat and field. My GPA is a 3.71 with a 4.0 during my second semester. I will continue to work hard on my education as I plan to seek work in the medical field.
I know that the second part of success is praying hard. My faith has impacted my life dramatically. It has taught me to believe, trust, and to be faithful. This applies even to my athletics. If I believe we can win, we will, even when we lose, because we tried hard and learned to never give up. I can trust the coaches, the rules, the team mates and the officials. I can be faithful in our honesty to play fair and not cheat. I have the ability to make good decisions rationally.
The last part to success is to play hard. If you go hard always, then there will never be any regrets. If you give all you have, how can you lose? I have heard there will always be someone bigger, someone faster, someone better; but I know that I can lead my team. I will encourage, laugh, teach, listen, learn, lean on and hold up my team mates until the end.

100%. I am not just another face, I am Dustin Clark and I am a fundamental part that makes up our team. I am excited to see where my success will take me and who knows it may be in your school.
