Dove Bonjean-Alpart '20 Recruiting Profile

    Hello coaches. I'm new to NCSA, and I'm excited and eager to start my recruiting process. My name is Dove Bonjean-Alpart. I'm currently a Junior from Poly Prep in Brooklyn.  I've always been a fighter. I began Jiu-Jitsu and MMA when I was five. I began Wrestling age eleven and I've fallen in love with the sport ever since. Now that I'm reaching the end of my high school journey,  I'm getting more active in the college process.  My collegiate goals are to continue wrestling competitively, but more importantly to achieve success academically. I have aspirations to study in the science field, possibly Biology. However, I love all my classes. Wrestling has molded my character today. It has taught me to be disciplined in my work ethic, kind, sportsmanlike, and motivated. These values translate to all aspects of my life and help me to achieve my goals both on and off the mats. 

    I think I'd be a good candidate because I see myself as a leader. I'd bring energy to the room and make an effort to bond with my teammates. I'm a hard worker and always make a conscious effort to do the right things for my body in all aspects of my life.

    I think I'm different from other recruits in terms of my well-roundedness. I have done well both academically and athletically throughout high school and I think I do a good job balancing the important aspects of my development. I took 7th at Prep Nationals, I've been a Fargo AA. In terms of character, I see myself as being a loyal friend. I know when to be lighthearted and humorous, and when to get serious.
