Cole Sides '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cole Sides, and I’m a dedicated year-round wrestler with a deep passion for folk style, Greco-Roman, and freestyle wrestling. Currently, I proudly compete for Dripping Springs High School on the Varsity team and represent 3F Wrestling at national tournaments. My wrestling journey began in 2016, following a season of football, and I quickly developed a profound love for the sport. Wrestling’s demand for unwavering perseverance, dedication, and skill pushed me to become a more well-rounded athlete.

After my rookie season, I balanced wrestling and football until my freshman year of high school in 2021, when I decided to fully commit to wrestling. My goal for the 2021-2022 season was to earn a spot on the Varsity team as a freshman. I’m proud to say I achieved that goal, outworking and outperforming two upperclassmen to secure my place. Competing in several Varsity tournaments, I consistently represented my school with distinction.

My notable achievements include being a 3x State qualifier, Varsity captain, 3x Team Texas Qualifier, 3x (FS and GR) State placewinner, 1x Regional Finalist, and 3x District Champion. Currently, I’m ranked in the Top 10 at 126 pounds in the state and am dedicated to climbing higher through intensive training and unwavering commitment.

Looking ahead, my goal is to excel both on the wrestling mat and in the classroom, paving the way to find the ideal college where I can compete at a higher level and earn a degree in Business.
