Personal Statement
My name is Ryann Frontera, class of 2022, libero/setter. I attend Dripping Springs High School and I am a starter on the varsity team as a setter. For my club team, Austin Skylines' 17 Royal, I play as a libero. I have played volleyball for 9 years now, and I love it more every year. My passion for volleyball came through my dedication to my family and friends. They have influenced me to improve my skills, to remember the joy, and to never forget that I am also a student. Volleyball has influenced me the most throughout my life, to grow as a young adult and improve in my day-to-day life. I cannot even count the number of lifelong memories and relationships I have created because of volleyball. Alongside my teammates, I would grind 100 times, on and off the court and in and out of the gym. I am a well-rounded volleyball player, being able to play any position in the back row, and front row if necessary, with the intent to win.
I am seeking the best school for me as a player and young adult, with the best blend of high-level volleyball and academic accomplishment. I am an AP and Honors student who just completed my junior year with a 3.5. I love to compete and also want to further my academic knowledge in Liberal Arts/Architecture. I knew volleyball was the game for me, and I can't wait to see what more delightful memories are to be born.
