Joseph Tamburello '27 Recruiting Profile

I first began playing travel ball in the second grade, here I had the opportunity to compete alongside my classmates and friends. Since then I have moved on from town ball and now play for a club team, sometimes competing against those same kids. This last season brought us back together as we continue to compete on the varsity level. 

I pride myself in my ability to play the outfield, put the ball in play, and play smart baseball. From knowing my approach when I step into the box or what to do when the ball is hit to me. My high school coach has instilled in us that to succeed you have to be "a student of the game". I think this is his was of saying play the right way. It means more than just knowing what to do and when to do it, it also means being able to see past a bad at bat or error, and picking up your teammates when they need it. 

I dedicate time to baseball year round, spending time with college coaches and players at Untamed Baseball during the winter, working on mechanics and in the weight room with Challenger Strength. During the spring I practice and play for my high school team and for the remainder of the year I play for Untamed Baseball. This ensures I am constantly improving upon my game as well as getting stronger/faster.

I am a diligent student and work hard to maintain good grades. My freshman year I recorded a 3.9 GPA  and Honor Roll while being enrolled in all honors classes. I also spend time working with my town little league and at my local pool.

I would like to attend a college where I can continue to challenge myself on the field and in the classroom. I am hoping to find a college that suits me at the highest level of competition available.
