Dylan Byerly '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name Dylan Byerly. I am 5’11 and 185 pounds. Academically, I am an honor roll student with an overall GPA of 3.2. In college, I plan on majoring in Civil engineering or another engineering major. I am focused both academically as well as as an athlete on and off the field. Hard work, focus, and dedication is the key to success academically and as an athlete. I am looking to attend a large college with a strong engineering program and a strong baseball program. Academics are important to me and I am looking to advance for a scholarship for both academics and baseball. 

             I have accomplished academically maintaining as an honor roll student with an overall GPA of 3.2. I have participated in community service and outreach by assisting in coaching youth wrestling camp, church nursery school, umpire for my local Little League, and built bullpens for the Northern Lebanon Little League. 

             I have been playing baseball for 14 years. My primary position is the catcher and my secondary position is a utility outfielder or DH. As a catcher, it is my job to be a leader and a team captain. I bring positivity and enthusiasm to the team. I boost attitudes and morale when needed. I can have fun playing the game but get serious when it is time to focus. It has always been one of my career goals to play in the next level of competitive baseball in college.
