Athletics, specifically soccer, have always been a big part of my life. I have always known a goal of mine was to go to college to play, but as I began to grow up and join better club teams I realized to reach my goals it would take more than physical talent. I began to work at home, whether it was in my basement or at the local college while my brother was practicing kicking for football. One of my biggest accomplishments was winning The Jefferson Cup in 2016. It showed all the sacrifices paid off and my commitment to the team was worth it.
When I broke my leg in the 8th grade then injured my other knee my freshman year I questioned if I was ready to go to the next level and if I could make it. My family kept me going and my love for the sport and my motivation increased more than I thought it ever could. I owe a lot to my family for rides and the constant support. Now as I am in my junior year I continue to work hard on and off the field. In the classroom, I have other goals of being the valedictorian and then becoming a physical therapist in college. I believe my work ethic, struggles, and leadership will lead to my success and could be a part of yours.
