I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old. My dad started me early since he thinks he saw potential in me at a young age :) More likely, the fact my grandfather played at Providence College and was drafted by the Giants and his cousin played at Northeastern and was drafted by the Yankees. "Hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in sports," said Ted Williams. Nothing like the sound of the bat hitting the ball. I enjoy the challenge of the batter vs the pitcher. I have been on my towns all-star team for the last 5 years while playing travel and American Legion baseball. This past year, I finished my freshman season, leading the JV team at Cumberland HS with a 420-batting average. This past year, as a sophomore, I started at 1st base and batted clean-up for Cumberland High School. We had a great Team and season capturing the D1 RI Baseball Championship. I feel that my skillset, that keeps improving, with my glove and bat would be a welcomed addition to any college or university's baseball team. My goal is to play college baseball and obtain a good education but realize it's a few years away and many practices and games to be completed. My dad also tells me to give 110 percent whether it's in the classroom or on the field. There is always room for improvement, but you need to keep working hard to attain your goals.
