Lucas Duarte '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Lucas Duarte, a 6'3'', 285-pound center at Suffield Academy. I grew up in Texas and moved to boarding school to push myself both in the classroom and on the field. I love football because it teaches me about teamwork, responsibility, and never giving up. I feel most at home when I’m out there playing with my teammates.

As a sophomore, I started every game last season, even while competing against seniors who are headed to top Division I programs. I’m really focused on getting better as a student-athlete. I train every day in the offseason to build my strength and improve my technique, and during the summer I work closely with my coaches to develop my skills.

In school, I put in just as much effort. I’m taking Honors Calculus as a sophomore and aiming for a business degree. I’m coachable, hardworking, and always looking out for my team. I give 100% in everything I do, both on and off the field, and want to help my team succeed.
