Personal Statement
I have been playing competitive football every year since I was 6 years old, and from my very first game, I knew that this was the sport for me. I was hooked on the game, the competition, the teamwork, the coach’s instructions, playbooks, enthusiasm, and winning.
I have always aspired to be one of the best athletes on the field and a team leader through hard work, dedication, and execution. I am a dynamic team player that brings motivation, energy, knowledge, and passion to every practice and game. I consistently execute play schemes and blocking by taking my opponent out of the play, which creates a nice hole for positive yardage and scoring opportunities. In pass protection, I consistently keep the defense away from my quarterback so that he can complete passes.
Although football is my main sport, I also play competitive basketball in the off-season as this helps me to continue working on my speed, footwork, and endurance. I also workout in the gym 4 to 5 days per week to make my body bigger and stronger.
Academics are equally important to me and I have always maintained excellent grades while being an athlete. I work and study hard to maintain a high GPA and made the high honor roll in high school so far.
My hope is that all of my hard work and dedication, to this sport, over the last 10 years will help me to reach my lifelong goal of playing football at the collegiate level. I am looking for a college that will offer me both the opportunity to play football at the highest level of competition as well as provide me with a quality education to prepare me for what comes next after college. I am open to all opportunities in finding the college that is the best fit for me both academically and athletically.
I work hard to be a positive role model, both on and off the field, and look forward to all of the future college experiences that will help me to continuously grow as a person and make my family proud.
