My name is Joseph Marino. My goal as a junior in highschool is to get better at something by 1% everyday, whether it be in the classroom or on the field. This is a goal of mine because in the long term, I believe there is no roof for what I can achieve. No matter what, there is always room to get better and for improvement. An aspiration I've come to realize that is feasible since August, is the opportunity to play college football. I believe I have what it takes to play at a college level, as evidenced by my work ethic. I lift 5x per week, I attend speed and agility, and I have a "prior to going to sleep" routine with dumbbells to ensure I dusted in the corners and didn't miss anything. At its most basic level, I care, am passionate, and have my sights set.
What makes me a good candidate for your team is I show up to the extra things that are offered to me. If there is an extra lift or any extra help I can get, I will attend; no doubt about it. In practices, I go game speed and play game-like to give and get good looks for my coaching staff. I'm coachable and want to learn.
What makes me different from others is I know how to take a butt chewing. I as a player understand that there is a reason to being chewed out and accept it. I accept criticism and fix my mistakes after the first time. I'm also not afraid to ask questions if I do not understand a concept, something a lot of other people struggle with.
