My collegiate goals and aspirations are to major in Mass Communications or Journalism because I’m interested in Sports Broadcasting. I’d like to minor in Pre-law. I have a talent for the statistics of the game, and would like to use that talent to be a t.v. football analyst and later represent athletes.
My freshman year of high school I was awarded the Archbishop’s Shaw outstanding character award, which was a pleasant surprise because I didn’t realize that just being the person my parents are raising me to be stood out and would be rewarded. I transferred to John Ehret due to a family hardship and I am now the Team Captain. I plan to keep a high standard of achievement wherever my journey takes me.
Being the son of a former teacher and academics is very important in our household. I keep a calendar of my assignments and exams so that my father can assist me in completing homework and studying for exams.I currently have a 4.5 GPA.
In order to sharpen my skills and athletic abilities I invest my time and allowances in private football training and conditioning. I am coached by Super Bowl champion Marlon Favorite who is a graduate of LSU.
I am a member of a civic organization, Children and Youth Planning Board and in an academic organization called University of New Orleans Upward Bound, which prepares me for ACT, SAT, and college academics. The stipend I receive from these groups fund my private training and equipment. In the spring I stay in shape by throwing the Javelin with track and field and would like to keep doing that through college as well.
I believe the responsibilities and experiences that Im having now are making me well suited for college academics and sports and a good candidate for a collegiate football program.
