Amare Lewis '26 Recruiting Profile

I’ve been passionate about football since I was seven years old. My journey began with the New Orleans Panthers, where I was fortunate to learn from Coach Robbie. Later, due to family circumstances, I transferred to the Harrell Rams, coached by Coach Derrick. These early experiences ignited my love for the game and instilled in me a strong work ethic.

Football has always been more than just a sport to me. It was a special bond I shared with my late step-father. He taught me invaluable defensive techniques and inspired me to strive for excellence. When he passed away, I felt a deep void. However, I found solace in returning to the field. It became a way to honor his memory and continue our shared passion.

This season, I've been fortunate to contribute significantly to my team. As a middle linebacker, outside linebacker, and defensive end, I’ve amassed 35+ tackles, 7+ sacks, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, and an interception in just eight games. I’m proud of these accomplishments, but I’m constantly striving to improve.

Beyond the field, I’m dedicated to my academic pursuits. As an honor student enrolled in challenging honors courses, I maintain a GPA of 3.34. I believe that a strong education is crucial for future success, both on and off the field.

I’m grateful for the sacrifices my mother makes to support me and my younger brother. Her unwavering love and dedication inspire me to work hard and achieve my goals. I’m determined to make her proud and show her that her efforts have not been in vain.

I’m eager to continue my football journey at the collegiate level and contribute to a winning program. I’m confident that my skills, work ethic, and passion will make me a valuable asset to any team.
