Ashanti Stewart '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Ashanti Stewart. My Goals and Aspirations is to be great and to make it out of new orleans, i always had a dream of going to college on a full ride scholarship for track and field  it always been my dream since a kid watching people like shelly ann and sha’carri richardson influence me they showed me what a young black woman can achieve with hardwork and effort . i have a passion for track and field and me going to college to achieve this will help me lead to success i want to set a example  for younger girls in new orleans and nation wide  that you can do anything you put your mind to  just work hard and results will come , i will be the first member in my family to go to college if this happens for me . What makes me different from other recruits is everyone has there own talents they are different in many ways but what i offer is hardworking , leadership, and  compassion . i accept all  criticism and work even harder to be great . I always respect  coaches and i work very hard to achieve goals and expectations that’s expected of me . I take pride in academics  its important to me i want to be great and off and on the field i take pride in studying and  maintaining a great grade point average.
