Izaac Smith 2023 ...Personal Statement
I am a versatile athlete, who is easy to coach. I listen to instruction, give 100% effort and enjoy listening to any feedback that will make me better. I am currently a sophomore and I will graduate from Sturgis Brown High School in 2028.
I have played football since the 6th grade. I am proud to say that I am the first permanent kicker that our youth program has had. I was a part of our 1st youth championship team here in Sturgis, I went 21 of 22 on PAT's. I was inspired by my brother, Dominik Smith, to become a fulltime kicker. My brother Dom, plays in the RMAC for the Rapid City School of Mines. I have been working with my private coach Matt Thompson from One on One Kicking since 2020. Most recently the National Kicking Ranking listed me as the #2 kicker for the 2028 class. My freshman season was highlighted by a game tying, last second, 29Yd FG, we went on to win the game in OT. I went 2/2 on FG's and 13/13 on PAT's.
I also play soccer, earning my 1st varsity letter in the 7th grade. I have a history of wrestling, golf and track as well.
