My name is Prenis Best, better known as PJ Best. I am a junior at Thomas Dale High School located in Chester, VA. I am 6 feet in height and weigh 275 pounds. I played on the Junior Varsity team my freshman year in high school, once the junior varsity season was over, I was recruited up to the Varsity team. I was on the 2nd team learning all the plays and techniques from the senior players. The 2009-2010 school year was a very good year for the Varsity team. We went to District, Regional and won the State Champion for Division 6 Team. I have been a starter on varsity team since my sophomore year and haven't looked back since.
At a recent National Underclassman (NUC) Schuman Combine for 2011year I was awarded the Strong Man award for the Eastern Region. I lifted 185 pounds for 18 reps. I have been invited to attend NUC Ultimate Top 100 camp. I have been invited to the camp for 2 years in a row.
I currently have a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) in school. Playing football during my high school years have been a very important part of my life. I would like to pursue a career in football after high school at an institution where there is a right balance between academics and athletics. The University that I would like to pursue should have an outstanding academic reputation in the field of Sports Medicine, Athletic Training, Physical Therapy or Kinesiology. I currently live in Chester, VA but have family in several other states so distance and the size of the college is not an issue for me. I am willing to do whatever it takes to continue my career in football at the next level. I am looking forward to learning more about your college and your football program. My athletic environment would be one where I could make an immediate impact on the team or be fighting for playing time.
