Elise Davis '24 Recruiting Profile

I am Elise Davis and I have been wrestling for seven years. I started my wrestling career in the 5th grade. I wrestled for my league club for three years and then JV in 8th grade, varsity in 9th grade and JV & Varsity my 10th grade season due to fighting back from a serious injury in July 2021, and wrestled a couple JV events, a couple varsity events, and lots of girls tournaments this year, my junior season. I am passionate about healthcare, and would like to earn my nursing degree in college.  I would love the opportunity  to wrestle in college. I have lots of experience wrestling boys and girls now that VA has given womens wrestling emerging sports status. In 2020 and 2022 I was the vawa state tournament champion.I am the 185lb 2023 women's virginia state champion.  I only had 1 loss to a female opponent in my '22-'23 seson and I ended up facing that same opponent in the state finals match and defested her for the title. I competed fall 2023 at Midwest Nationals, and took home the number one claiming my first All American title.
