Brian Gaines '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Brian Aaron Gaines, Jr. and I have been playing football since the age of 5 years old. Also, because of my speed I have participated in other sports like baseball and track. During my freshmen year at Riverbend High School, I played on the Junior Varsity team. During my sophomore year at Riverbend High school, I scored the most touchdowns that season, nine in total. During my junior year, I played football and I ran track. I ran the 40 yard dash in 4.38 seconds my junior year. During my senior year, I primarily played as the running back and in the Riverbned verse Orange game, I had 4 touchdowns and 261 yards rushing. In total, for my senior year, I made seven touchdowns.

Overall, what I can offer to a team is heart, commitment and positive attitude. Not only that, but I can also bring a jolt of energy. I would like to go to a competiive sports college that has a football and a track team. I would like it to be far from home, but close enough to Fredricksburg, Virginia so that I can visit my family. I desire to major in broadcasting with a minor in acting or music. I am also trustworthy and loyal, at my church I serve as the lead drummer and I work as one of the junior deacons.

In closing, my athletic goals are to be the best runningback football player in the nation and to receive an athletic scholarship from either a Division I or Division II univeristy.
