Ricky Southerland '14 Recruiting Profile

 Hi my name is Ricky Southerland Jr. I am a senior at Lord Botetourt High School (2014).  I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. My  Sophomore year I was starting center on JV and moved to Varsity at the end of the season to play in the Regions.  My Junior year I was starting center for Varsity.  I received 2nd Team All-Blue Ridge District and was Top Rebounder in The District.  My highest double double in a game was 15 pts. and 19 rebs.  I was mentioned in VHSL Stats in two categories rebounds and field goal percentage.

  I had the privilege to play with the Virginia Sonics AAU Team (ball charts.com) . I was the second leading scorer 11.9pts. and top rebounder 9.1reb.  I also had the honor to play with Strong Quality Basketball Association Travel Team (SQBA).  During the Myrtle Beach NCAA Certified Tournament I made the All Star Team.

 I believe education is very important. My GPA is 2.8, I know I have to work hard this year to achieve the things I want.  I am going to put forth my best effort in the classroom and on the court. My goal is to be a fit for a college basketball team and further my education to receive a degree in Zoology. Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.
