My name is Mason Patrick and I am the 3rd child out of 8 in my family. As one of the oldest in my family, I have always had responsibilities with younger siblings and household chores. I would consider myself more mature than most of my peers and believe that maturity has helped me play basketball at a high level. I have been a starter on my school's varsity program since 8th grade and truly believe that basketball is a gift and must be earned every time I step on the court. On every team I have played on, my coaches describe me as "the glue guy" which I consider to be the ultimate compliment. I am tenacious, coachable, humble, vocal when necessary and have a well rounded game that allows me to do whatever the team needs to be successful. Since 8th grade, I have played at several schools and AAU teams so I have always been the new guy on the team and have approached each season as being the best teammate I can possibly be. I am also proud to say that when each of those seasons started I was a starter and when each of those seasons ended I was the top performer in almost every statistical category. My goal is to play basketball at a university that allows me to get a great education but also allows me time to play basketball. I want to be a true collegiate athlete by pursuing excellence in the classroom and on the basketball court.
