Personal Statement
My interest in Public Safety sparked when I watched my Father work with the Public for many years in Law Enforcement and continue on as the Clerk of Courts ( elected) and continues to this day assisting the Public in their time of need.
Because of this interest, I delved head-first into the world of Fire fighting. I took fire science courses and consistently received top grades. I also participated in a number of extracurricular activities, including training with all other agencies and competitions. In addition, I conducted research in this field, working with my community and experiences have taught me the importance of attention to detail, careful observation, and teamwork. I believe that these skills will be essential as I continue my studies and pursue a career in this subject. I am confident that my passion for the subject, combined with my academic achievements and research experience, make me a strong candidate for field of study.
