Personal Statement
I am graduating in the year 2022 and I am interested in playing collegiate golf in any division. My current school does not have a golf team but I would love to experience a team environment. I took the 2020-2021 school year off because of Covid and I have had a lot of time to work on my golf game. Because of this, I have improved immensely especially in the past few months. While previously before this year I was shooting mid 80s, currently, I consistently shoot mid to low 70s in tournaments and have lowered my index of only tournament rounds to a 0. I am still improving at a fast rate and I am now competing with players that were much better than me 2 years ago. I am serious in academics as well as golf and I have taken 11 APs after my sophomore year scoring 5 on six of them, I have scored 35 on the ACT test and I have a weighted GPA of 4.69. I am interested in a school with strong academics as well as a competitive golf team.
