Passion is key to greatness in any endeavor. Whether in sports, academics, or adventure, one cannot achieve the pinnacle of their pursuits without passion. My passions are broad, but strongest in sports and academics. Regarding sports, I feel that I am blessed to be naturally athletic and am able to do well in many different sports. However, in sports my passion is soccer. My other passion is in academics. Throughout my schooling I have maintained all A's and have consistently made the Headmaster's Honor Role, which requires an average of at least 93% in coursework. I accomplished this while taking the maximum number of honors classes available. Further, I was able to achieve these academic results despite a heavy extracurricular load for my freshman year of high school: played on JV and varsity football team through a state championship season, played on ECRL and guest ECNL club team, played on high school freshman basketball team, and was the only starting freshman on our school's state championship soccer team. In addition, I have made an effort to give back to my community by volunteering more than 40 hours my freshman year for Infant Crisis Services, Cleats for Kids, St. Anthony's Hospital, and my high school.
In summary, I believe I should be a consideration for a soccer team that is looking for a well-rounded leader with a passion for soccer. I will continue to place an emphasis on academics and volunteerism as well. Thank you for your consideration and please follow my progress if you value my passion.
