I want to earn a degree, play competitive soccer, and win championships. As a club soccer player, though I’m one of the youngest on the team, I’m currently the captain for the fourth consecutive year. I take this responsibility seriously and lead by example. I work extremely hard in practice and in the gym during training. I play an aggressive style of soccer and live by the motto “it’s my ball”. In my first year of High School soccer, I was a starter at Center Back and received the MVP Defensive Player of the year award. I also compete in the South Atlantic NPL with my club team, GPS Charleston. We finished second in the league and earned a bid to ENPL Playoffs.
I have the same mindset when it comes to my academics. I try to do the best I can by developing sound study habits and time management skills to work around my soccer schedule to be successful. My GPA through my Sophomore year is a 4.70. I haven't taken the ACT or SAT yet, so those scores aren't available.
Off the field, I enjoy my downtime with my teammates and classmates. I treat each of them with respect and am willing to help them out if needed. Our Club team went on a spring trip to England a few years ago and one of my teammates was going to be short on money, so I worked with him shoveling mulch and clearing yard debris to raise money. When we were paid, I gave him my earnings, so he could enjoy the trip too. I attend church regularly and volunteer my time to maintain flower beds and assist in altar preparations during special times of the year. I love helping anyone that I can, especially if its to achieve their goal because that makes me happy.
