Personal Statement

I want to earn a degree, play competitive soccer, and win championships.  I'm in 12th grade at Fort Dorchester High School and play for SC Surf 03/04 ECNL.  I work extremely hard in practice and in the gym during the season and offseason.  I play an aggressive style of soccer and always look to get myself involved.  My freshman year of High School soccer, I was a starter at Center Back and received the MVP Defensive Player of the year award. My junior year of High school soccer, I started every game branching into different positions around the pitch. I've been competing at the highest level of club soccer possible. I used to play for GPS Charleston where I served as captain for 4 years and also competed in the South Atlantic NPL. We finished second in the league and earned a bid to ENPL Playoffs in 2020. Following that season I joined SC Surf where I met new teammates and worked my way into the starting 11, we won the SC State Cup in December earning a spot at the 2021 Southern Regional Championships in Greenville, SC.

I have the same mindset when it comes to my academics.  I try to do the best I can by developing sound study habits and time management skills to work around my soccer schedule to be successful.  My GPA through my 3 years of high school is a 4.77.  I received a 20 on the ACT but am retaking it this summer. I'm looking to major in engineering, athletic training, or possibly even exercise science.

Off the field, I enjoy my downtime with my teammates, classmates, and family.  I treat everyone with respect and am willing to help them out if needed.  I think it's important to understand and communicate with not only your teammates and friends but anyone around you. You never know what someone could be going through or what you could do to make their day better. I think seeing people happy is one of the most important things to me and when I'm on the pitch that's when I'm happiest.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
