Gerard Llames '25 Recruiting Profile

I aspire to become a soccer goalkeeper at the collegiate level and
subsequently reach the professional level. My education is paramount as
reflected in my commendable GPA. I was born in Alicante, Spain and hold
dual citizenship in the United States and Spain. I am very fluent in
English and Spanish.

For the past eight years, I've honed my skills as a goalkeeper,
embodying a winning spirit coupled with fierce competitiveness. My
unwavering discipline and determination serve as the driving force
behind my pursuit of reaching the top of the sport. A testament to my
unique training regimen is evident in my current sprint speed, agility,
flexibility, endurance, and strength, which made me the fastest athlete
in both my club and high school teams.

One of my highlights includes my participation in the Liverpool FC
Summer Camp in England, from July 17 to 30, 2023. At the camp, I not
only garnered high marks but was also recognized with awards in the
skills challenge section and was named goalkeeper of the week.

I played a pivotal role in securing victories for my club teams,
contributing to triumphs such as the Virginia President’s Cup, a USYS
Regional Soccer Championship, at least five tournament championships,
qualification for the Super Y Championships in Florida, and securing
league division titles. This consistent success has propelled my teams
to rise in national rankings, as well.

In June 2023, I showcased my athletic versatility by participating in a
track and field meet in Maryland, competing admirably in both the 100
and 200-meter dash events.

I am confident in my ability to be an asset to any soccer team; my
achievements and current physical prowess underscore my readiness for
the challenges that lie ahead. I will bring my winning mentality,
skillset, and dedication to contribute to the success of any collegiate
and, eventually, professional soccer teams.
