My name is Isaiah Williams, and I am a junior at Charles J. Colgan High School in Manassas, Virginia.
I have been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. After watching my sister play, I couldn’t be kept away from the field. I am a very hard working, competitive person both academically and athletically. I trained and worked hard to have the opportunity to play for both my high school and travel teams. I have been able to lead my team not only as a captain, but also in assists. I train every day to ensure that I continuously push myself. As Cristiano Ronaldo once said, "talent without working hard is nothing". I’ve also attended various soccer camps in my area. These camps have allowed me to hone my skill and continue to improve my ball control and agility. I play center defensive mid. This allows me to easily switch between attack and defense.
I never give up whether on or off the pitch. I always give my all and leave my very best on the field. When the other team is winning, it gives me a hunger to work harder. I pride myself in being creative on the field; it brings into focus what others may not see. I have always been taught to give my best plus 10% more; therefore, I put in the work where it is required. Whether it is learning, studying, or training, I persevere until I reach the desired outcome.
When my high school career is complete, I want to be known as an outstanding student, leader and inspiring team player.
