Hello, my name is Evan Martin. I am a rising Junior at James River High School in Midlothian, Virginia. As a freshman I was on the JV team, but had been pulled up to practice with the Varsity team when COVID ended the season. This year I was on Varsity and started on defense every game, playing all but about 30 minutes over the course of the season.
I have played on the FC Richmond travel teams since 2013 and the Magic Elite team since 2016. I primarily play outside back, but played center back for much of the season when our regular center back was out with an injury for several months. I was chosen to be a member of the Club Champions League (CCL) United Team and we will compete in the Target USA Cup in Minnesota this summer.
I push myself hard on the field and in the classroom. I have a rigorous academic schedule and have a 4.2 GPA. I am disciplined, motivated, and persistent.
I hope to find a school where I can continue my soccer and academic pursuits.
