I began playing tennis in the 6th grade while continuing to play other sports in the off season. I have always loved athletics and I played up to 4 sports at one time. While I enjoyed all of them, my main focus turned towards tennis. I will graduate in May 2015 and am anxious to find a college where I can contribute to the tennis program and have excellent academic options. I am currently taking classes at Rose State College during my senior year of high school to better prepare me for college. I have a weighted GPA of 4.0 as evidence that I realize education is just as important as athletics.
During middle school and high school I have played tennis for varsity teams, both singles and doubles. The past 2 years I have primarily played doubles in school events achieving a 4th place and a 3rd place finish at state in Oklahoma division 5A. However, I have also continued to play singles year round on the USTA circuit. With the changes made to the USTA junior tournament system in 2014, I was placed in the Championship division due to my ranking in the 16U division.
I am an active member of my school Key Club, National Honor Society and French Club. I also continue to be a varsity wrestler at Carl Albert High School. I have been to a Rotary Youth Leadership Camp after being selected by our school counselors for this honor. I attend St. Matthew United Methodist Church and am an active senior leader in the Youth Group.
