My name is Landon Choate and I am a student at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA graduating class of 2027. After playing competitive soccer for 8 years and a year of football, I found my passion in Track & Field. This is only my second year competing in Track & Field, but I've already fallen in love with the sport and the work it takes to improve. By the end of my freshman year I was competing at the Adidas Indoor Nationals in the 200m and 400m, as well as leading off my AAU team's 4x100m and 4x400m relays at AAU Junior Olympics. I recently finished my sophomore year highlighted by earning All-American honors at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in the boys 4x400m where I split a 50.56, after wining the Virginia 6A state title with a split of 49.94. I also anchored our 4x100 relay with splits of 10.3 (prelims) and 10.4 (finals) at NON. Additionally, during indoor track, I aided my team to finish 4th (All-State) on my school's 4x200m relay for the Virginia Indoor 6A state championships with a split of 22.86 (laser) as well as qualifying for the 4x200m and SMR relays at New Balance Indoor Nationals. I love competing in relays because of the team comaraderie, and starting relays has been my specialty as I continue to improve my block starts. I can run 100m-500m and want to continue to be a versatile sprinter. I'd love to be able to continue running in college. The commitment and schedule are something that keeps me working hard both athletically and academically. I have maintained a high GPA throughout high school, and my coaches consider me a team leader and I always look to see how I can support my teammates and learn from them!
