Being a former distance runner I know more then anyone that great things don't happen on their own. They take grit, tenacity, and patience, all aspects I plan to bring to the table during the next step in my Pole Vault journey. My time as a distance runner has taught me that hard work beats talent 100% of the time, and even though I may not be the most talented Pole Vaulter, you better bet I'll work hard for it.
I am a long distance runner who recently found a passion for the Pole Vault. Now I am trying to compete at the college level in this sport. I am the leader of my Boy Scout Troop and in my spare time I am working towards becoming an Eagle Scout. I enjoy helping others and being a mentor to those younger then me. I enjoy the challenge that running and vaulting provide as well as the leadership opportunities that come with them.
I am excited for the opportunity to demonstrate my academic and athletic potential at the collegiate level.
