Personal Statement
My name is Britten Beallis and I’m currently a Junior at Naperville North High School (NNHS)l. I am an athlete that has played several different sports throughout my life (football, basketball, baseball and volleyball) and have found that volleyball is that sport that I am most passionate about. I am driven to bring my volleyball skills to a higher level and improving my game play overall. As a Freshman, I played the middle position on our NNHS Team and believe I'm a good fit for this position because I enjoy the challenges that come with it. Specifically, I have a natural ability to read the setter and make quick movements which allows me to adapt to becoming the best middle I can be.
I am one of four children in my family with my twin brother. I am a leader at home, within my community and on my Team and always strive to be encouraging, positive, and supportive of others.. I have proven myself to be a driven, hardworking individual who always gives 110% effort, whether in the classroom or on the court.
During the off-season I am enrolled with the Elite Training Academy (Team Delta) at Great Lakes Volleyball Academy, where I train approximately 12 hours per week. My training during this time focuses on various aspects of my game play from strength & conditioning to focusing on honing my position to team play - all of it working together to improve my overall performance. I am not satisfied with being “good enough” or average - at 6’4”, I am driven to be the very best that I can physically be and because of my perseverance, I have already seen much improvement and I can't wait to see what the future may hold.
