Savanah Welcing '22 Recruiting Profile

I know their are thousands of young athletes, like me, that dream of playing their preferred sport in college. I also know that the recruiting process isn’t easy and it’s hard to find the right school for you.  Coaches go through and scout hundreds of athletes on a daily basis and all look for the same thing, an individuals personality. If you ask someone about me, they would remember me for my personality. I am not the most perfect person you will ever meet but I can assure you, I am someone worth knowing. I am considerate with the other members of the team, accommodating with my coaches when asked to do something, and also, I am probably the most competitive person you will ever meet. Whether I am playing wii sports or dodgeball in P.E, I will not back down and I will always find a way to win. Thats why I love softball. I love the feeling of exhilaration while playing and the support your teammates give while your in the box. However, softball is not a ME sport it’s a WE sport. You need your teammates to back you up in the field and to support you when your feeling down. Softball would not be a sport without your teammates beside you and that is something I cherish. Some other basic things your should know about me is my willingness to always get better and attack the process. I am very hardworking in school and on the field. If I make a mistake in the field, I have accepted that and must move on since it’s in the past and you can not do anything about it.
